Prior to joining the Urban Innovation21 team, David was a Senior Vice President at PNC Bank. He structured deals to finance major government agencies and municipal authorities (utilities, sports and transportation) as well as housing and redevelopment entities. David also spent three years leading the bank’s Community Development group for the Western PA, Eastern OH and West VA markets, establishing PNC as #1 in the Pittsburgh Assessment Area by leveraging private and public funds contributing to over 500 affordable housing units, 200 jobs and $100MM in economic redevelopment.

David earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Information Systems, Strategies and Economics. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Guilford College with a major in Economics and a minor in Sociology.

He is an active member of the Greater Pittsburgh community, serving on the Homewood Children’s Village and the Josh Gibson Foundation boards. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, where he chairs the national voter registration program and participates in the reading program at Dilworth Elementary School.
