Contracted with Urban Innovation21 in 2012 to manage the Pittsburgh Wealth Building Initiative, Tricina Cash has helped to lead the market study in this first phase of the PWBI. In this role, she has been responsible for educating local anchor institutions, entrepreneurs and community organizations of the benefits and opportunities possible in employing community wealth-building mechanisms, as well as advising the CEO and leadership on business issues related to the initiative.

Prior to joining the Urban Innovation21 team, Tricina was Director of Business Development, Operations and Conference Management for UPMC’s Center for Continuing Education. Under her leadership, she oversaw three programs and she dramatically scaled the center’s grants management infrastructure gaining national recognition. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from the international Executive MBA Program of the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in psychology and a minor in black studies.

Tricina is an active member of many boards such as the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh where she serves on the Finance and Marketing/Communications committees. She is also the elected Vice President of Administration for the newly formed and 2012 Chancellor’s Award nominated Pitt Black MBA Network where she helps to shape and execute the strategic plan of this national organization. She is also a member of the Junior League of Pittsburgh working on its iQ Kids Radio Signature Project.
